PBR Streetgang , Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe, a pair completely submerged in the world of club music their entire adult life: they've watched scenes and sounds come and go, seen how the underground itself keeps on keeping on regardless of the vagaries of outside interest and the names people choose to give to it. They've been releasing as PBR Streetgang for nearly two decades, their debut record, Never Get Off the Boat, in early 2008 on Croatian label Red Music Records. Since those early beginnings they have released on Futureboogie Recordings, Crosstown Rebels, 2020Vision, Throne Of Blood, Lumberjacks in Hell and a critically acclaimed Album on Skint Records. Their Radio One Essential Mix was shortlisted as mix of the year and described by Pete Tong as as ‘..a masterclass from two house music lifers..’. More recently they started their own label Kurtz, a vehicle for their own output whilst championing favourite new artists as remixers. Their own remix work reads a little like a who’s who, lending their production touch to everyone from Kylie, Lana Del Rey, Bryan Ferry, Hot Chip, Romanthony, Sylvan Esso and Elder Island just to scratch the surface. As Djs they have played across the globe at almost every venue and festival of credible note. Outside of the studio and the booth, their residency on Rinse/SWU FM has become one of the mainstays of the stations programming, regularly hosting international guests and the freshest new talent on a monthly basis.
