Biography
Petals In Sound is the creative alias of UK-based producer and DJ Louise Baldwin, known for weaving together atmospheric textures alongside deep and dusty, jazz infused house music. Her music captures both introspection and groove, inviting listeners into immersive sonic spaces shaped by personal change, a blend of city meets coastal landscapes, and her love of club culture.
After early releases like Palace EP (2020) and Nite Flight (2021), she found her home on respected labels such as Dirt Crew, Dealt With and Closer to Truth. Her Dial Tone EP (Dirt Crew, 2023) won praise in 5 Magazine as “dreamy, hazy house music, full of atmosphere,” especially lauding its detailed production and richness. Recent highlights also include Paille Records Caipirinha EP (2024), singles “Wherever That Feeling Goes” and “Holding Sand” and her remix of Adham Zahran’s On The Roof (Cromarti, 2025), which showcased her evolving production style and deep house sensibilities.
Alongside her studio work, Petals is steadily building her reputation as a DJ. She regularly curates mixes for radio shows, podcasts, blogs and labels (check out her recent Dj mix for Aterral) and back in April performed a set at Berlin’s legendary Renate, alongside Break 3000 and Marcus Holder as part of a Dirt Crew Takeover night, reflecting her growing international presence.
